Story:
Peter Quil was a former space pirate. He was the youngest and now the last members of his old team The Ravengers. The Guardians had an Infinity Stone that could control people's souls and has unlimited power. But many years past and Peter decided to revive Yondu's old team with new members. He recruited a Cybernetic soldier (that's looks like a raccoon) and it's giant friend (who is basically a giant talking tree.) And a young girl who was the clone of Captain Mar-Vell. With his new team, they went on an adventure to find the "Soul Gem." Meanwhile, a Mad Titan named Thanos was also looking for this same Stone. So he sent his adopted daughter, Gamora to retrieve the Stone. But in her way, she stopped by Drax The Destroyer, an man who was murdered by Thanos but was resurrected. He found a girl named Mantis to help him find Thanos for she used to be Thanos old servant. Drax seeking revenge and knowing that Gamora is Thanos's daughter, he would try to kill her. But as soon the fight started to escalate, The Guardians came to stop the fight. Gamora told Peter that she wanted to betray Thanos for he had killed Nebula, her adopted sister. Peter realized that since everybody has the same goal and enemy, the could form an alliance with these three rogue aliens to find the Stone and stop Thanos. The team traveled to a plant where the found a Stone but it was inside some kind of cocoon. The cocoon exploded and out came a man with The Stone implanted in his head. He immediately attacked the team. Drax finally gain the upper hand and was able to kill him. But the Stone resurrect Him back to life. Mantis know that he had to be stopped, she went up to Him and took control over his mind. She was to bring Him back to normal but she died during the process. The Soul gem took her soul. Him returned the Soul back to Mantis bringing her back to life. Him finally called a truce and joined The Guardians but only as an ally. He was gaven the name "Warlock" by Peter. Drax, Gamora and Mantis officially joined the group to protect the galaxy from other threats. Warlock went away on his own to stop Thanos but first he needed to get answers of why he was created...
